Beyotime was founded in 2001 by scholars who studied and worked at Harvard University. For more than 20 years, we have focused on independent research and development and manufacturing. In 2007, Shanghai Beyotime Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established. It is a national-level specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative "little giant" enterprise and was further selected as a recommended and supported national-level specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative "little giant" enterprise. It was selected into the third batch of Shanghai Innovative Enterprise Headquarters, and Gong Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai, personally presented the plaque to Beyotime. The company mainly researches, develops and produces reagents, kits, consumables, instruments and equipment for biological and medical research, and also provides technical services for life science research and a one-stop scientific research equipment procurement platform. By the end of 2025, more than 300,000 research papers citing the use of Beyotime products had been published in internationally high-level academic journals, including Cell, Nature, and Science. In 2025, the Beyotime brand ranked among the domestic leaders and the global top 20 in literature citation rate.
