I can't give you a fixed price on my end—it varies a lot by region and channel. For 48T and 96T, you can't just compare the per-test price; you need to factor in open-vial stability, sample-batching waste, and whether tax and shipping are included. Ask the distributor to quote separately for the bare kit, the bundle with controls, and the bundle with calibrators/consumables, and clarify whether cold-chain shipping is included and what the damage replacement terms are. At 80–100 tests per week, the 96T per-test cost is usually lower, but the post-open shelf life is short, so the lab needs to be able to batch samples efficiently.

Most positive quality controls need to be purchased separately. For some brands, standards/quality controls come in separate boxes, and the kit may only include a negative control or basic quality control. It is recommended that suppliers include quality controls in the contract and specify acceptance upon arrival: outer box, dry ice, temperature data logger, reagent appearance, and the time limit for replacement of damaged items. After receipt, perform quality control verification first; do not directly run clinical samples. The cold chain must be documented throughout, especially in summer. Do not accept batches shipped with ice packs only.

For stock availability and lead times, do not rely solely on verbal statements from distributors; confirm the lot number, expiration date, and cold chain records. Demand for this category has fluctuated significantly recently. The 48T format is often broken up and sold separately, while 96T full-box stock depends on the region. It is advisable to request quotes from both the manufacturer-authorized first-tier distributors and regional distributors at the same time, and require a short-dated product disclosure. Stock availability and price are often tied together; short-dated products are cheaper, but you need to assess your monthly usage of 80-100 tests. If the remaining shelf life of a 96T kit is insufficient, you may not be able to use it all. Lead times are generally 1-5 days for in-stock items and 2-4 weeks for backorders, subject to actual conditions.
