From a procurement perspective, I suggest first asking domestic manufacturers to send trial samples or small-pack sizes, and run them in parallel with the current imported kit on 8-12 samples to check the correlation R² and Bland-Altman bias; there is no need to look at individual values. Different domestic brands have different strengths for different factors; some are very stable for TNF-α but only average for IL-1β. Do not lock in all three factors at once. Clarify whether the lead time includes invoices, cold chain, and replacement after expiration. Within budget, you can ask the distributor to quote a tax-included and freight-included price; around 1,500 can buy a legitimate domestic 96T. For delivery within one week, choose a local distributor or one with warehouses in the Pearl River Delta/Yangtze River Delta, which is faster.

I have used domestic rat TNF-α and IL-6 serum detection kits, and they can work if you choose the right brand and lot; IL-1β requires more caution, as serum matrix interference and the lower limit of detection are prone to problems. I suggest you first buy one 96T kit for a trial, use 5-10 normal + model serum samples to test 2-fold and 5-fold dilution linearity, and see whether the measured values are parallel; then perform spike-and-recovery, with recovery within 80-120% acceptable. Prioritize kits whose instructions clearly state validation for rat serum and that provide matched diluent and standard diluent. For brands, you can look at Lianke, Xinbosheng, NeoBioscience, Elabscience, etc., and ask customer service for serum matrix data.

For your 50-plus samples, the budget is 1500-2000 per 96T. Domestic products can basically handle it, but the key is to use the same lot number of kits for samples from the same batch as much as possible. If you must buy multiple kits, at least reserve one plate for inter-batch bridging: measure the same mixed serum on both plates and calculate the CV. I suggest running one standard curve plus 2 quality control serum replicates upon arrival to check the OD values, recovery rate, and inter-batch CV; generally, if the inter-batch CV of cytokine ELISA can be controlled within 15%, it is usable, but if it exceeds 20%, do not run it in large batches. Domestic lead times are mostly 3-7 days, while imported ones may take 2-4 weeks.

Matrix effects cannot be completely avoided simply by choosing a brand; they are more often addressed through dilution and matrix matching of the standard curve. Rat serum should not be loaded directly as neat samples, especially for IL-6 and TNF-α. Usually, first try a 2-fold or 5-fold dilution and compare whether the calculated concentrations are linear after dilution. If the calculated values differ greatly between concentrations and dilutions, it indicates strong matrix interference. You can ask the manufacturer whether they have a dedicated diluent for serum/plasma and whether they recommend adding an equal amount of matrix to the standards as well. Serum samples should avoid hemolysis and lipemia; otherwise, IL-1β will be falsely elevated. The gap between domestic and imported products is mainly reflected in lot-to-lot stability and the slope of the standard curve; a single absolute value is not necessarily worse.
