A privately held company headquartered in Danvers, Massachusetts, USA. Founded in 1999, CST has more than 600 employees worldwide. Cell Signaling Technology (CST) was founded in 1999 by Dr. Michael J. Comb, a former neuroscientist at Massachusetts General Hospital who later worked at New England Biolabs. Initially, CST consisted of a small group of dedicated employees. Focused on signal transduction, CST was one of the first companies to develop and commercialize post-translational modification (PTM) antibodies, making PTM research more mainstream and accessible. The first product CST offered was Phospho-p44/42 MAPK (Erk1/2) (Thr202/Tyr204) Antibody #9101, which has been cited in more than 8,000 publications and is still in use today.
